The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş paid a visit to Gölyaka county of Düzce province.
The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş paid a visit to the Mayor of Gölyaka Yakup Demircan with the occasion of Eid al-Adha and established dhuhr prayer at Gölyaka Central Mosque. After the dhuhr prayer, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş had a conversation with the citizens who were present there and expressed his congratulations to the citizens for the Eid al-Adha.
At the mosque, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş made statements to the press members by expressing that 86 years of longing has ended with re-opening of the Great Hagia Sophia Mosque for worship and used the following expressions, “The re-opening of the Great Hagia Sophia Mosque for worship has been an auspicious step both for our nation and the entire humanity. Not only Muslims but also tens of thousands of people come and visit the Great Hagia Sophia Mosque every day. Therefore, we are saying that ‘Hagia Sophia Mosque is open to the entire humanity.’ The Presidency of Religious Affairs strives to provide the best service for visitors at the Hagia Sophia Mosque in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Foundations, and Istanbul Governorate. At the Great Hagia Sophia Mosque, we organized a magnificent opening ceremony, which was well-deserved by our nation, with our imams, muezzins, adhans, zikrs, and duas. As also well-deserved by our dear nation, the Great Hagia Sophia Mosque is visited by many people. May the Almighty Allah bestow good results upon us for this act.”

The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş reminded that the Eid al-Adha was contemplated in a different way compared to the previous years due to the new type coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.
Expressing that the Eid al-Adha was observed within the framework of precautions this year due to the epidemic, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş included the following statements in his speech, “May the Almighty Allah save the entire humanity from this epidemic. We wish that may the Almighty Allah let us contemplate the following eids by hugging the elder members of our families and kissing their hands. This is a test for us. If the Almighty Allah permits, we are going to pass this test by obeying to the health precautions and embracing contemplation and duas. I would like to congratulate Eid al-Adha of all our brothers and sisters and our nation. I wish that we are going to experience more eids healthily in the following years.”
