President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş met with young people at morning prayers.

President of Diyanet Erbaş met with the students of the İmam Hatip Schools and Quran Courses in Ankara at morning prayers at the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque and then chatted with them after salaat. Erbaş said prayers and salaat performed by Muslims are done for Allah and added “we are here for Allah. We are praying to Allah. We are bowing before Allah, praying to the Almighty. We are praying to fulfill our duty to the Almighty. We are praying to display deep gratitude. Praying cleanses us from all evil.”

Saying salaat and prayers protects people from evil and malice President of Diyanet Erbaş said “praying protects you from evil. A person who performs salaat uses an auto control mechanism to stay away from evil. A good Muslim protects himself or herself from the arrows of Satan with prayers.”

Saying three prayers are valid and told the young people: “Prayer is a manifestation of our submission to Allah. We become people who accept being a subject of Allah with our prayers. We should always pray. The worlds “ibadet” (worship) and “abd” which means being a subject come from the same roots. You manifest your acceptance as a subject of Allah with your prayers. The subject of Allah manifests being a servant of the Almighty with worship. The envoy of Allah has said he is first a servant of Allah.

There are three prayers that are most favorable. The first is the prayer of the oppressed. The Islamic geography has become a map of the oppressed. There are millions of people in the Islamic geography that have been driven out of their homes, that are deprived of even a slice of bread, who are left in the open, who are in tears. You have to extend a helping had to all the oppressed irrespective of their religion, language, and ethnical background. We remain solid thanks tıo the prayers of the oppressed. The second most favorable prayer is the prayer of the voyager, of the guest. The third most favorable and acceptable prayers is the prayer of the mother and father for their children.

We just performed the salaat with five hundred young people. Our prayers go to these young people. May Allah bless their parents and their teachers who helped them come here. Children gain their personality by watching their parents. They start salaat by watching them pray. Mosques deprived of the voices of children is like a deserted home. The salaat performed with the laughter and screams of joy of children is much more acceptable than a salaat performed without the noise of the kids. May Allah accept your prayers at this early morning hours.”

After the prayers President of Diyanet Erbaş had a family photo taken with the young people.
