Indonesian President visits Kocatepe Mosque…

Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited the Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara as a part of his official visit to the city.

President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez accompanied Indonesian President Widodo during his visit to the Kocatepe Mosque where he performed salaat and religious staff of Kocatepe Mosque chanted the Holy Quran.

President of Diyanet Görmez gave information about the history and structure of Diyanet to President Widodo.

Indonesian President Widodo presented a Quran and authentic local clothes of his country to President of Diyanet Görmez as a present while Görmez gave the visiting President Hilye-i Sharif as a gift.

During the visit, Widodo got together with Indonesians living in Turkey at the fair ground of the Kocatepe Mosque and got his souvenir photo taken.

Following the visit, President Widodo signed the memorial book of the Kocatepe Mosque.

Deputy Prime Minister Nurettin Canikli accompanied Indonesian President Widodo during the visit.
