President of Diyanet Görmez meets health personnel who will take part in the Haj organization…

President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez met with the health personnel who will be tending to the Hajis who will be participating in the 2017 Haj organization.

The health personnel who will serve the Hajis in Mecca and Medina assembled at a seminar in the Kızılcahamam health resort near Ankara for a two-day event. President of Diyanet Görmez told the health personnel that he personally witnessed how these people served the Hajis with great dedication and thanked them for the services they have provided for thousands of Hajis over the years.

Saying Haj is a great form of worship President of Diyanet Görmez added that the fact that the health personnel actually serve the Hajis who are Allah’s guests in Mecca and Medina doubles their service to the Almighty. He said “Haj is a great form of worship and within this worship you are performing two separate forms of worship. Those who serve the guests of Allah serve the Almighty even more. The perform Haj and also tend to the guests of Allah makes you perform two forms of worship. You have served these people with compassion, kindness and you have tended to their problems. This is a great act of faith.”

Görmez went on to say “Do not forget to tend to yourselves when you tend to the Hajis. The greatest danger for a person on earth to neglect him or herself. These worships remind us of ourselves. The person who tends to him or herself also remembers the Almighty. Haj is a voyage to make towards your inner world. You will realize this when you face the Kaaba. Haj is a voyage to your heart. While you tend to the Hajis and provide them with health services also visit the Kaaba and spare sometime to do some contemplation. Take a voyage to the inner world.”

President of Diyanet Görmez told the health personnel about the fundamentals of Haj and its goals. The health personnel numbering 470 will be travelling to the holy lands with the first group of Hajis who will travel to Mecca and Medina.
