Presidency of Religious Affairs Presidency of Religious Publications Department Third Religious Publications Conference Child Oriented Publishing in Turkey (28-30 October 2005/Ankara)

The subject of “Child Oriented Publishing in Turkey” will be handled during the third Religious Publications Conference which will convene in Ankara during 28-30 October 2005. The aim of this conference, which is organized by our Presidency, is to determine the issues of child oriented publishing, develop a common background for the sake of dispelling them, and contributing in the activities concerned with child issues.
The historical development of child oriented publications , child oriented publications and religion, visual publications and child pertaining subjects as well as increasing book reading practice and book attractiveness, the issue of transferring religious concepts to child language, translated publications for children, the relation between supply and demand in children publications and distribution issues will be discussed during the conference which will last three days with the participation of nearly 60 scholars, researchers and artists. Also during the child session, the opportunity will be given to nearly fifteen children to reveal their views and observations concerning the main theme of the conference.
Just about 40 publishers who closely interested with child publications will follow up the entire activities of the conference closely. |
