In 2003;
1. In order to fill the vacant committee chairs in the Presidency of the
Committee for Investigation of the Qur’ans, an examination was organized by the
Presidency, and five winners have been announced and appointed to these vacant
posts.
2. Among the vacant posts subjected to job promotion training and
examination in the rural organizations of the Presidency, for the vacant Mufti
posts in districts, a job promotion training and examination was held, and 120
candidates were successful in the examination. 43 personnel have been appointed
to the vacant Mufti posts in the districts of the Eastern and South-Eastern
provinces.
3. A total of 127 personnel who finished the courses on in-service
training and specialization have been appointed as preachers.
4. In order to fill the vacant preaching posts in the rural organizations,
an examination of preaching was held, and 211 out of 242 have been appointed as
intern preachers In 2004.
1. In order to fill the vacant specialist posts in the Higher Committee of
Religious Affairs of the Presidency, an examination was held and 5 successful
candidates have been appointed as specialists of the Higher Committee of
religious Affairs.
2. In 2004, our Presidency had requested permission from the Prime
Minister’s Office to appoint preachers, Qur’an teachers, imam khatibs, prayer
criers, wardens, and attendants, i.e. a total of 11.868 cadres or posts, and in
return, permission was given only for 600 posts.
The number of posts distributed to the professions mentioned as follows:
Preacher (female) 100
The Qur’an teacher (female) 50
Imam Khatib 400
Prayer crier (muadhdhin) 50
3. An examination was held in the headquarters of the Presidency and in
provinces in order to give certificates of qualification to those who shall be
appointed as intern preachers, intern Qur’an teachers, imama khatibs, and prayer
criers, for the first time or by transfer. A total of 33.083 winners were given
certificates of qualification. Their distribution is as follows:
526 candidates as intern preachers,
4418 candidates as intern Qur’an teachers,
23753 candidates as imam khatibs (prayer leaders)
4386 candidates as prayer criers (muadhdhins)
4. 72 personnel who completed the courses on specialization have been
appointed as preachers.
5. An examination was held in order to fill the vacant auditor/examiner (muraqib)
posts in our rural organization, and 151 candidates, 50 of whom are principals
and 101 of whom are substitutes, have successfully achieved the examination. The
appointments process of those who are successful is under way.
6. In order to make appointments (by way of proxy) to all vacant imam
khatib posts in mosques in the villages and towns within the districts and
provinces, an appointment permission by proxy, in accordance with the principles
specified in the Budget Law, was given by the Ministry of Finance. The number of
these posts is 3500, and the list of conditions required for those who shall be
appointed to these posts mentioned have been sent to all governorships in
provinces.
