1. Law project works on the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Its
Organization and Duties have been completed.
With this law, the following objectives to be aimed at:
- the selection of the President for a once term of five years;
- the reconstruction of the Higher Committee of Religious Affairs;
- to establish research and councelling units within the Presidency;
- to improve or develop the personnel;
- to categorize the personnel in accord with their speciality and capacity;
- to categorize the imam khatibs (prayer leaders) in accord with their
capacities and the characteristics of the mosques;
- to unite the preacher (va’iz) and examiner/auditor (muraqib) cadres;
- to apply the career system in the cadres of “Religious Affairs Specialist”,
“Qur’an Teacher” and in the fields of “Religious Education” and “Religious
Services”;
- to make improvements in the status and rights of the personnel;
- the reorganization of hajj (pilgrimage) and umrah (minor pilgrimage) services.
2. Regulations regarding the examination procedures, appointing,
replacing, and promotion at work have been prepared and published in the
Official Paper.
3. Some changes have been made in the instructions about the Duties of
the Officers who have been entrusted to Investigation, Filing, and Pilgrimage
and Umrah Organizations Organized by the A Group of Travel Agencies.
4. Works concerning the Pilgrimage Instructions, and the Instructions on
the Execution of Pilgrimage are underway.
5. The whole regulations (laws, rules, regulations, instructions and
circulars), including our Constitution, that relate directly or indirectly to
the Religious Affairs Organization have been added to the web page of the
Presidency under the title of “Regulations (Mawduat)”
Daily changes which take place in this field would be followed , and added to
the web page immediately.
Furthermore, the publication and distribution sytem has been introduced within
the “Updateable Book of Regulations” in order to keep the whole regulations –
that is, laws, rules, the decisions of Cabinet, regulations, instructions and
circulars- about the Presidency, and to follow the changes in a correct way.
