What is the place of transmigration of the soul (Reincarnation) in Islam?

Tanâsukh, reincarnation, the transmigration of the soul which is expressed with the terminology of hulûl means coming to the world of the souls again and again by changing body. The belief of transmigration of the soul is maintaining its existence mainly in India and in the major parts of China and other country and regions. According to those who have this belief, it is impossible for the soul to know the universe by coming to the world once. Therefore when a body dies, its soul transmigrates to a new one. The soul in the new body becomes more mature relatively to the previous one. So mentioned transmigration can happen in another body and existence at the end of every life-span, as the water transforms into a cloud and a thunderstorm. The egg transforms into a chicken. The volania-tree turns into an oak. The wood gets into the state of fire and ashes.

The belief in reincarnation conflicts with the religion of Islam. According to Islamic belief, the soul is not eternal and has been created later. It is a completing part of the body. When the body is resurrected in the Next World the soul will be returned into it. In accordance with that he will see the treatment of either reward or punishment according to his deeds. It has been expressed with certainty in the Qur’an that there is no soul transmigration: ''When death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord! Send me back. Happily I may do good in that which I have left. By no means it is a mere word that he speaks; and behind them is a barrier until the day they are raised. {Mu’minûn, 23/99-100}
