If the sign is negative (-), this shows to what degree the new moon is below the horizon during sunset.
If the sign is positive (+), this shows to what degree the new moon is over the horizon during sunset.
T = gives difference of time between the moon and the sunset.
If T is negative (-), this shows that the moon set down before the sun as much as T.
If T is positive (+), this shows that the moon set down after the sun as much as T.
