Addressing the Turkish nationals at the Turkish Martyrdom Mosque in Berlin, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Ali Erbaş stated that the state of mind Muslims have when worshiping should be maintained at all times, and added, "We should maintain a position fit for a Muslim in every sphere of life."
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Ali Erbaş addressed the Turkish nationals in Berlin.
Speaking at the meeting held after the noon prayer performed at the Turkish Martyrdom Mosque in Berlin during his programme in Germany, Prof. Erbaş underlined the importance of performing prayer in congregation and said, "One of the virtues and messages of us performing prayer together shoulder to shoulder in order to fulfil our servitude to Allah is to reflect our unity and solidarity during prayer inside the mosque on the outside as well."
Prof. Erbaş reminded that one of the virtues of worships was to protect people against evils and said, "We should have the same state of mind we have during worshiping in every sphere of life as well. We should maintain a position fit for a Muslim in shopping, business, our relations with our family members, children, and friends."
Referring to the verse, "And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty", Prof. Erbaş pointed out that sedition was dangerous for people and the evil it would cause would affect the entire society.
Underlining the importance of raising children in an environment full of virtues, wisdom, knowledge, and education, Prof. Erbaş continued,
"Allah blesses those with many niceties who pursue knowledge, education, virtues, and wisdom. Let us always inspire our children for them to read and write. Let us ensure that they acquire knowledge by living in an Islamic way. It is important if our children become scholars in the future. However, we should also ensure that they continue to go to mosques, perform prayers, and live by the Islamic principles. That they are aware of Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, and their culture. My request from you is that our children be raised properly, together with our religious officials Then our Lord will bless us with many successes."
Prof. Erbaş also met with religious officials working in a variety of mosques in Berlin and representatives of Turkish NGOs.
Also accompanying Prof. Erbaş was Religious Services Adviser in Berlin Kazım Türkmen.
