Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs, met students at Fajr prayer.
Establishing the Fajr prayer together with the students who study in Turkey as part of International Theology Program (UİP) in Ankara Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque, Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs, made conversations with the young people following the prayer.
Giving important advises to the students, the President Erbaş said, “When you return, we wish you to serve your nation in your own country as our brothers and sisters who have benefited from Turkey to the maximum extent possible.”
“You are the travelers of the path of knowledge.”
Stating that the International Theology Program (UİP) is one of the most important projects of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the President Erbaş talked as, “You are the travelers of the path of knowledge. You will experience perhaps the most important part of this journey in Turkey. We have almost a thousand friends who came to Turkey from different countries and completed this program so far. You will have seniors from previous classes of your school. Benefit from their experiences.”
“A student of knowledge does not have a moment to waste”
Reminding the fact that one of the two things that deceive people is not to know the value of time, the President Erbaş used expressions, “Our Lord (swt) describes the virtues of the believers in Qur’an as follows ‘Certainly will the believers have succeeded: They who are during their prayer humbly submissive. And they who turn away from ill speech.’ Further, a student of knowledge does not have a moment to waste. In another verse, our great Lord (swt) says; ‘And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives.’ That efforts have never been wasted and will never be wasted.”
“Our hearts beat as one”
Expressing that even though there are borders between the countries, there is no border between the hearts, the President Erbaş said, “Our hearts beat as one for Allah the Almighty (swt), for our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), for Islam, for Qur’an and for Ummah. We care about you very much, you are our guests.”
Then the President Erbaş had a souvenir photo taken with the students.
