Giving a speech in the program of Mawlid al-Nabi Week in Azerbaijan, President of Religious Affairs Erbaş “Peace for all humanity is the joint objective of ours as Islamic Ummah. Not only Muslims, let all people over the world be in peace. The main objective of Islam is this after all.”
Program of Mawlid al-Nabi Week was organized in Azerbaijan with the attendance of President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş.
In the program that began after President of Religious Affairs Erbaş established Dhur Prayer in Ejderbey Mosque in Baku, Qur’an, Islamic chants and odes were recited.
During his speech, President Erbaş said that Prophet Muhammad was the most beautiful example for all Muslims in every aspects.
Drawing the attention to the fact that a dark age when ignorance and cruelty enslaved all humanity turned into the Era of Bliss illuminated by knowledge, justice and mercy thanks to him and his efforts, President Erbaş said “Humanity who lost its route and values in the vortex of ignorance disciplined the most unique scholars by following his way with the help of faith and ethics and built the most wonderful civilization. The civilization that illuminated the way of humanity for centuries is Islamic civilization.”
Stating that to love the Prophet is to be morale with his great ethics and to make efforts to live with his values, President Erbaş used expressions as "We need to grow our youth, children by teaching them his ethics. We must leave generations who grew with ethics of the Prophet in this world.”
“Basic values that we need for a better life are to be alive in the family first”
Stating that they have determined the main theme as “Our Prophet and Family” for Mawlid al-Nabi Week, President Erbaş said as follows:
“It is clear that all problems or all goodness personally, socially or globally are related to family strongly. Therefore, basic values that we need for a better life are to be alive in the family first and contribute peace to the community and all over the world. We believe that. Strong family means strong community, and ruined family means ruined community. Never forget that. We start from our home, our neighborhood. We must keep this principle alive in everywhere.”
“A peaceful community may only launch with family peace”
Underlining that family has an important and irreplaceable function as conserving the generation, President Erbaş talked as “The communities that were founded over the notion of family conserving the generation are developed and civilized communities. Because humanitarian and conscious values are only born and improved in such family context and descend to the next generation. A healthful mind about religion, life, community and existence of the human cannot be born and improved in any organization apart from the family itself. A strong community is established upon strong family bonds. A peaceful community may only launch with family peace.”
“We as Muslims are like limbs of one body”
Emphasizing that all Muslims are brothers to each other, President Erbaş used expressions as “My heart needs to feel the pain when one of my brothers in Baku hurts. Heart of a brother in Baku needs to feel the pain when I hurt. And this is brotherhood.”
Expressing that Islamic civilization founded from Andalusia to Central Asia and delivered justice, mercy and goodness to humanity for centuries is the joint civilization of all Muslims, President Erbaş talked as "We as Muslims are like limbs of one body together with all of our differences as ethnical, sectarian and spiritual in these lands. Whatever the sect of ours is, we are Muslims in actual. What is important is to keep the unity. We are members of the same history, same sorrow and same joy as Islamic Ummah. Peace for all humanity is the joint objective of ours. Not only Muslims, let all people over the world be in peace. The main objective of Islam is this after all. Islam means peace. Let the whole world live in peace. Let no one be exposed to cruelty.”
"Karbala, Aleppo, Damascus, Gaza and Yemen are the joint sorrow of ours”
Drawing the attention to the fact that ignorance and hatred are joint enemies of Muslims, President Erbaş talked as:
"Karbala is the joint sorrow of ours. Aleppo, Damascus, Gaza and Yemen are the joint sorrow of ours. Hazrat Hussein being cruelly martyred in Karbala because of political ambitions hurt all believers deeply and broke our hearts. We feel this pain always in our hearts. All Muslims whatever whose region, culture, sect or spirit were felt this deep sorrow in our hearts bleeding since then up to today. No difference is there among Muslims in this aspect. No Muslim who do not love Hazrat Hussein you can find in this world. No Muslim who do not feel the sorrow of that cruelty you can find in this world. This is a beautiful sign of unity.”
“We will establish a civilization to bring peace to all humanity together again”
Mentioning the oppression on Meskhetian Turks, slaughter by Soviet Army in Baku in 20 January 1990 and invasion of Karabakh, President Erbaş concluded his speech as follows:
"These sorrows are joint sorrows of us all. As a matter of fact, our ancestors fought together, side by side in Gallipoli a century ago for our joint future and martyred side by side. As the same, our brothers in Caucasus Islamic Army fought to protect these land and martyred together, side by side. As the history from which we can show many examples gives us that we are bonded to each other with strong strings and feels. We will build a better future together. We will establish a civilization to bring peace to all humanity together again. The greatest facility for this is our iman. The greatest guide of ours is our prophet and the greatest power of ours is our brotherhood.”
At the end of the Program, Baku Religious Services Consultant Zeki Yavuzyılmaz made duas.
Beside President Erbaş, Baku Ambassador of Turkey Özoral, Vice President of Azerbaijan Committee of Cooperation with Religious Institutions Gündüz İsmailov, General Director of Presidency of Religious Affairs Religious Services Bünyamin Albayrak and General Director of Foreign Relations Erdal Atalay attended the program.
