The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş received the Grand Mufti of Malaysia Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri and his accompanying delegation.

Mentioning the importance of a correct religious education, President Erbaş stated, “In Turkey, our Presidency of Religious Affairs and Faculties of Theology attach great importance to give an education based on authentic information. In Muslim World, what we need most today is to give the authentic religious information to the young people, our students by means of a good method and procedure.”
President Erbaş continued by drawing attention to the damage that has been given to Muslims by the education system far from authentic religious information, “At the end of an education that deals with extremisms a terrorist organization may appear. The most important reason of the appearance of terrorist organizations such as DAESH is that people are educated far from authentic religious information. This situation gives rise to Islamophobia. Such formation is welcomed by Islamophobic people. Therefore, we need to combine the understanding of education based on authentic religious knowledge in Malaysia and Turkey with each other and take it even further.”
