You have great duties in terms of forming a correct perception of Islam regarding Islamophobia and anti-Islamic racism, translating the accumulation of knowledge in Turkey into the Western languages, providing authentic religious services to the Muslims who have been struggling for their existence between the dominant Western culture and their own culture. Moreover, the responsibility of expressing the message of mercy which Islam has brought to the whole universe shall be on your shoulders.”

“We are required to express the mistake of associating Islam with the terrorist organizations in every occasion"

Emphasizing that the European Muslims were under a severe pressure of assimilation, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş continued his words as follows:

“The European Muslims have been worried with regard to the secularization of Islam because of the emergent discourses such as ‘European Islam’ which they have been making efforts to create and have recently become almost a state policy. On the other hand, the Muslims have been challenging individually and collectively against the negative perceptions which are created by the understanding which continues its existence with such false and incomplete religious interpretations and puts extremism in the center as besides the terrorist incidents which have been taking place in different geographies in the world. As a consequence, they also bring about terrorist organizations in the various parts of the world such as DAESH/ISIS, FETO, al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab and Boko Haram which have been maintaining their existence by exploiting religious feelings of the people all around the world. Each of us shall keep our eye open against these terrorist organizations. We shall put forward by experiencing Islam and expressing it to the other people in the line with Qur’an and Sunnah. Our students of the faculties of theology should be extremely careful against threats of these dangerous movements as a specialized individuals. We are required to express the mistake of associating Islam with the terrorist organizations in every occasion. We believe that as long as the basic reference of our Muslim youth is the Qur'an and Sunnah, there shall be no place in their minds for these kind of thoughts which damage understanding of Islam and that poison our young people.”

Therefore, you should primarily read the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw). There are the most beautiful examples of being beneficial to people, knowledge and good morals in 1400-year old Islam civilization which was established by being inspired from the most basic sources of Islam, Qur’an and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw). Insha Allah, you shall put your signature under important services with the accumulation which you shall obtain from the civilization of Islam as well.”

You are all aware of the fact that the majority of those people who believed and supported our beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (saw) were the young Muslims. They believed our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) and worked for Islam, and they executed a great challenge against the polytheists.”
