The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş received the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah
The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş met the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and the accompanying delegation in his Office.
Expressing his satisfaction which he enjoyed from the visit, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş has expressed his thanks to the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and the accompanying delegation for their visit.
Mentioning the relations between the two countries, the President Erbaş emphasized the importance of the cooperation between Turkey and Afghanistan in the fields of religious education and the religious services and recorded that it was necessary to improve and develop the cooperation in every fields thereof.
Mentioning the process of peace in Afghanistan, the President Erbaş underlined that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace and used expressions as, “We desire the people to continue their lives in peace not only in places where we live, but in the whole Islamic World and for all the humanity apart from the Islamic World and we strive for this purpose.”
“Within our civilization, millions of people have lived in peace for many centuries”
Stating the fact that Islam was a religion that was hauled down all of us to remove the evil from the earth and provide the people to live in peace and tranquility, the President Erbaş continued his words as follows:
“Within our civilization, millions of people who have different beliefs, different sects and different races have lived in peace and tranquility for many centuries. Our very civilization is such as civilization. Our beloved Prophet, the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad Mustafa (saw) has presented, materialized and given as a legacy to the whole humanity the best example of such fact in the Islamic State of Medina through the Convention of Medina.”
Recording the fact that the religion of Islam was a religion of stability and that it was hauled down by the Almighty Allah (swt) to all of us to establish the justice, benevolence and the aid among the people over the whole earth, the President Erbaş talked as, “Where the justice is, there is the peace; and where the justice does not exist, there is the oppression. We shall make efforts and strive for this purpose as all of the Muslims, Insha Allah. And not only the Muslims, but all of the people who have different religions apart from Islam shall take benefit from such efforts of ours.”

Giving his gratitude to the President Erbaş as he received him and the delegation, the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said, “We have always been obliged to the Turkish people for the brotherhood that they have always presented to us and especially for the helping hand they have reached to us at every stage of the history. Afghanistan has faced and experienced numerous problems and sorrows and has passed some harsh times throughout its history, however the people of yours have always been together and side by side with us.”
Talking about the developments that were related to the process of peace in Afghanistan, the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah stated that he believed that regarding the establishment of peace and tranquility, the role of the religious officials and the religious institutions had such an importance.
Emphasizing the importance of the works which were accomplished by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah used expressions as, “I believe that such institution of yours is a fortune for all of the Muslims.”
During the reception, the Vice President of Presidency of Religious Affairs Dr. Selim Argun and the General Director of Foreign Relations Erdal Atalay were also present.
