Honorable Brothers and Sisters,
We are having the joy and excitement of rejoining with the Lailat al-Qadr in the last days of the sacred month of Ramadan that surrounds our life with its mercy, forgiveness and abundance. Praise and thanks to the Almighty Allah (s.w.t.) for rejoining us with such an abundant and peaceful night one more time.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Lailat al-Qadr is the night when our sacred book the Holy Qur’an, which is full of truth, mercy and wisdom and makes the difference between the truth and the evil, the good and the bad, the halal and the haram, the tawhid and the polytheism, the iman and the impiety, and the benevolence and the malignity, was started to be sent down and surrounded the earth with the mercy and forgiveness of the Almighty Allah (s.w.t.).
This night is a night of forgiveness. It is a climate of peace when angels come down to the earth and fill the world with well-being until dawn breaks. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said about this matter, “Whoever passes Lailat al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven.” He advised those who rejoin with this night to make this dua, “O Allah! You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me.”
In this respect, let us turn to Allah (s.w.t.) and repent sincerely for the days we have spent in ignorance. Let us ask forgiveness of Allah (s.w.t.) due to the servitude, worships, and obedience that we neglected deliberately by taking the occasion of this time of serenity. Let us adopt the determination of building a more beautiful future with our duas and supplications. Let us promise to increase the number of our good deeds for the benefit of ourselves, our family, our nation and humanity. Let us check what we can do for the goodness, well-being and benefit of humanity. Let us help the needy, the orphan, the lonely and the poor people both materially and immaterially. Let us set aside the temporary desires and endless goals of this World and make this night an occasion for our direction and spiritual resurrection.
Unfortunately, I must inform you that Jerusalem, which is the ancient city of humanity, the Home of Peace and the first qibla of Islam, has been occupied violently just before the Lailat al-Qadr. A furious community that disregarded humanity, conscience, morality, and international law attacked Muslims in the Masjid al-Aqsa and committed a brutal act in front of the eyes of the whole world on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.
Accordingly, the occupiers are placing the occupiers in their places by forcibly evacuating the houses of the Palestinians through systematic policies of oppression.
The only solution at this point is the unification of all Muslims and the protection of Jerusalem from oppression and occupation in the strongest way. Because the oppressors who attack the Masjid al-Aqsa are encouraged by the disorganization of the ummah. Therefore, let us strengthen our brotherhood of faith with the consciousness of the ummah as all Muslims in the world. Let us not give any opportunity to the acts of mischief that harm our unity and weaken our strength. Let us stand in the way of the oppressors who have turned our geography into the land of blood and tears.
Of course, no tyranny is going to prevent the free future of Palestine, Gaza and the Masjid al-Aqsa. No cruel power is going to be able to defile the city the surrounding of which has been blessed by Allah (s.w.t.). All the oppressors have been the victim of the fire they started and history has witnessed the destruction of several tyrants and oppressors so far. I believe that the Masjid al-Aqsa is going to be free and Jerusalem is going to be the city of peace again. However, those who do not react while the dignity of Jerusalem is violated, the lives of innocent people, their freedom of belief and thought are intervened without mercy, and the city blessed with revelation is destroyed are going to be condemned in the conscience of humanity, embarrassed before the history and the future, and disgraced in the presence of the Lord of the worlds.
With these feelings and thoughts, I would like to congratulate the Lailat al-Qadr of our dear nation and the entire Islamic world. I wish that all of our fasting and worships are going to be accepted. May the Almighty Allah (s.w.t.) let the duas and supplications made in this night strengthen our social togetherness and be an occasion for the unity, peace and togetherness of the Islamic World and the peace, tranquility and happiness of humanity.
On this occasion, I would like to ask everyone to meet our hearts and duas also for Palestine in the Lailat al-Qadr in which the mercy of the Almighty Allah (s.w.t.) surrounds the earth. May the Almighty Allah (s.w.t.) not deprive us of His grace.
