President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş performed the funeral prayer in absentia after the Dhuhr prayer at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque in Ankara and made for the martyred Palestinians.

In his statement before the prayer, President Erbaş stated that a great oppression has been committed in the Palestinian territories for 70 years and continued his words as follows:

“Babies, women, children, and innocent people are being slaughtered by the cruel, occupying Israel to a degree that has never been seen in the history of humanity. The world has been watching this and shameful events have been taking place for years. How does the human being, the one with a conscience, sleep? It is not possible to understand how Muslim countries and authorities sleep comfortably. For the last week, the massacre and genocide committed by Israel on Palestine has been taking place in front of the eyes of the world, and unfortunately, some people and countries who claim to be human support this”.

“Al-Quds is like the heart of Muslims”

Expressing that they are always standing by the Palestinians, President Erbaş said, “Al-Quds, the city of the prophets, is like the heart of Muslims. Al-Masjid al-Aqsa is entrusted to all Muslims by the Prophet of Miraj Muhammad Mustafa (saw). It is the duty of all Muslims to protect this trust. It is impossible to remain insensitive to this.”

“Let us be ashamed of our humanity”

Referring to Israel’s attack on hospital, President Erbaş talked as “Last night, more than a thousand innocent people were martyred in a hospital in Gaza, which was destroyed under the bombardment of the oppressors. Let us be ashamed of our humanity. Unfortunately, there are people who, regardless of their religion, do not feel sorry for oppression and are not ashamed of their humanity because those who commit this oppression introduce themselves as human beings.”

President Erbaş made dua

Making dua for those who passed away in Palestine after the prayer, President Erbaş made the following dua:

“O Allah the Almighty (swt)! Have mercy on the martyrs of Palestine, whose funeral prayers we are performing, and make their graves a garden from the gardens of Paradise, O Allah (swt).”

O Allah the Almighty (swt)! Destroy the oppressors who slaughter our brothers and sisters regardless of whether they are children, innocents, women, the elderly, or unarmed people in Palestine and set them against each other, O Allah(swt). Let oppressors be afflicted by the oppressors, O Allah (swt).

O Allah the Almighty (swt)! Grant unity and solidarity to Muslims, grant us to use our unity, solidarity, strength and power against the oppressors, O Allah (swt). Keep us far away from division, O Allah(swt).

O Allah (swt)! Let Muslims act in unity and solidarity in line with this verse, ‘And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided,’ that we can understand as “Be in the way of Allah (swt), walk in that path,”

O Allah the Almighty (swt)! We have Muslim brothers and sisters who are being persecuted in various parts of the world at this moment, wherever there is an oppressor, make them all miserable, O Allah (swt).

O Allah (swt)! You say, “And they planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.” For Muslims, for Al-Quds, for Al-Masjid al-Aqsa, for Palestine, for Islamic towns, destroy all kinds of plans made by infidels, oppressors, traitors, internal and external collaborators, O Allah (swt).

O Allah (swt)! Make us among the believers whose prayers are accepted. O Allah (swt)! Accept our prayers for the sake of the oppressed, the sinless, and the children.
